DAY 1 : Arrival and Transfer Paro

The Druk Air flight into Paro is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. On arrival at Paro airport, you will be received by our representative from Bhutan Travel Adventures, and will escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon visit is Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower, which now houses the National Museum. Below the museum is the Paro Rimpung Dzong, the center of civil and religious authority in this valley. A short walk takes you to the base of the dzong and across a traditional cantilevered, covered bridge. A short distance further is one of the innumerable archery grounds. (Archery is the national sport of Bhutan). If you are lucky, you may catch a match in action.


DAY 2 : Paro Tiger’s Nest hike

The hike will take about 5 hours for a round trip with lunch stop. It’s an uphill hike. Taktsang monastery is perched on the face of a cliff 800 Mts, above the Paro valley. It is a memorable spiritual journey. It was here that the great Tantric master, Guru Padmasambhava flew in from Tibet on the back of a flying tigress to propagate his teachings in Bhutan. Lunch at the cafeteria or you will be served catering lunch from a restaurant. Walk back down hill to your hotel. Take rest or drive to the town for your last minute shopping. Overnight at the same hotel in Paro.


DAY 3 : Paro – Punakha (115 km, 3 hrs drive)

Drive to Punakha via amazing Dochula Pass (3100 meters). If the weather is clear, you could have a superb view of the Bhutan’s Himalayas from the pass. Upon arrival in Punakha, check in at the hotel first. Have lunch in Punakha town and visit beautiful Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, and is situated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River) two famous rivers of Bhutan. Punakha was the old capital of Bhutan, and winter capital for the central monk body at present. In the evening walk around your hotel and have rest.


DAY 4 : Punakha – Thimphu (70 km, 2 hrs drive)

After your breakfast drive to Thimphu and check in at your hotel. Drive to the Buddha Point to see one of the largest Buddha statues in the world with the panoramic view of the whole Thimphu city.

Later visit the Handicraft Emporium for your souvenir shopping, and free evening walk around the city. Night halt stay at the hotel in Thimphu.


DAY 5 : Thimphu sightseeing – Haa Valley (9,400′)

After your breakfast visit the Folk Heritage museum which is a replica of a medieval farm-house, and we still have this kind of house in some of our rural parts. Afterwards visit the school of Arts and Crafts which was established to preserve and promote our 13 age old arts and crafts.

After having bit early lunch, drive to the Haa Valley for 3 ½ hrs along the western border of Bhutan. After checking-in into your hotel start preparing for your tomorrow’s trek. Overnight halt stay at the hotel in Haa valley.


DAY 6 : Begin trek, Haa – Saga La (11,800′)

Your trek begins through a village takes maximum 3-4 hours only, and then camp near Saga La pass. Overnight stay in the camp.


DAY 7 : Saga la – Ningula

Continue trek, trek up to Saga La to catch the views of Mt. Jumolhari and other peaks. You will make several ups and downs over ridges and small passes before descending to camp at Ningula taking about 5 ½ hrs trek.


DAY 8 : Ningula – Kung Karpo – Paro

After your breakfast walk on the flat trail for few minutes and descend to meadows of yak herder’s camp. And then ascent through rich forests of pine, dwarf rhododendron, and primulas to a ridge with High Mountain views of sacred Jumolhari and other Himalayan peaks until Kung Karpo. Even Mt. Kanchenjunga in Sikkim can be viewed during the clear weather. And then descend towards Paro valley with great views and scenery. Your trek today takes around 5-6 hrs only. End your trek at Chelela pass (3890 meters) one of the highest motor-able passes and then drive to your hotel in Paro takes about an hour.


DAY 9 : Departure

Our guide and driver will drop you to the airport and bid you good bye for your flight departure.

3. Exclusive Non a/c vehicle for transfers & sightseeing. Please brief to guest that vehicle will not be at disposal it will be available to guest as per itinerary only (point to point basis)  All permit fees

4. & hotel taxes (as per itinerary).  Rates are valid for INDIAN NATIONALS only

 

Cost Excludes: 

1. Air Fare / Train fare.

2.  Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, tips

3.  gratuity, mineral water, soft & hard drinks, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, joy ride (Toy Train), porterage.  Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary.

4.   Entrance Fees & Guide charges.  Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client,  which is directly payable on the spot).

5.  Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect  prior to departure.

6.    Travel Insurance.

7.  Anything which is not include in the inclusion.

Child Policy: 

  1. Child Below 5 yrs complimentary
  2. Child 5 -10 yrs without extra bed as mention in cost column (CNB = Child no Bed)
  3. Child 5 -10 yrs with extra bed as mention in cost column (CWB = Child with Bed)
  4.  Above 10 years / Extra adult with an extra bed sharing room are same
  5.  & charged as per (EPSR)  Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof so that it can be produced if asked by hotel.

Cancellation Policy :

  1. Minimum Cancellation is Rs. 1000 per Head.
  2. 25% Between 30-20 Days Before Tour Departure
  3. 50% Between 20-10 Days Before Tour Departure
  4. 75% Between 10-05 Days Before Tour Departure
  5. 100% on the Same Day
